All sealing components used in the food and beverage industry must meet a variety of strict requirements and regulations imposed on food production by legislators around the world, in addition to ensuring long-term, reliable sealing.

Those components in contact with the sealed media, for example, must be suitable for use with foodstuffs and have smooth, easily cleaned, and abrasion-resistant surfaces, whereas special seals without empty spaces and gaps must be cleanable without dismantling the equipment in which they function.
