Thermosyphon Vessel

system's goal is to supply the mechanical seal with a flow of cooling medium at the necessary pressure.
The pump shaft rotating through the seal causes thermal convection, which circulates the media through the seal. The hot barrier fluid exits the seal through the top line and returns to the vessel through the bottom line, forcing the media in the vessel into the seal.
The media flows in the circuit and is cooled by contact with the walls of the tank and the cooling coil if utilised.
Because the thermosiphon system is passive and independent, it can operate without the expense and complexity of a traditional liquid pump.
